Google TV is about to get a remote that never runs out of power

  • TW Electronics revealed a new Google TV remote at CES 2023.
  • The remote has technology that uses light to keep the battery charged.
  • There’s no launch date yet for the remote.

It’s a pain when the batteries in your remote die, especially if you don’t have an extra pair to replace them with. But a future Google TV remote may make that a problem of the past with its self-charging battery.

At CES 2023, TW Electronics revealed a new Google TV remote. While it uses the same button layout as the default Google TV remote, there’s something that makes it a little different from other Google TV remotes.
